About Julian's Flowers
For nearly a century, the Turpin family has been a trusted name in the floral industry, providing fresh flowers and exceptional floral services throughout Norfolk, Virginia, and the surrounding Hampton Roads communities. Founded by Martha Turpin in downtown Norfolk during the late 1920s, the family's passion for flowers, quality craftsmanship, and outstanding customer service has been passed down through generations.During the 1950s, Walter Turpin and his son, Julian, operated Turpin's Nursery, supplying premium fresh-cut flowers to leading wholesalers throughout the region. In 1959, Julian and his wife Laura purchased Alice Blair Florist in Southern Shopping Center, where they built a reputation as one of Norfolk's most respected local florists, known for beautiful floral arrangements, wedding flowers, sympathy flowers, anniversary bouquets, and special occasion flower delivery.
After Julian's retirement in 1976, his son Jay (Julian Jr.) proudly continued the family tradition, serving customers with high-quality flowers and personalized floral designs for decades. Today, Julian's Flowers carries on that legacy as a trusted online florist offering convenient flower delivery throughout Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas.
